Cesar and team were amazing, they addressed an issue very quickly and gave me suggestions on how to address this with my Strata and possible warranty. Upon the initial assessment they needed a part, Cesar got on the phone and managed to source one locally and came back to address the fix the same day. The complexity of the repair will depend on what is happening, with faucet repair being more complex than replacing a pipe underneath the sink to ensure it doesn’t leak further. Faucets routinely need minor repairs to keep them functioning correctly.

Clogged Sink

Since a sink undergoes heavy use on a daily basis, it’s not uncommon for a sink to become clogged over time. A clogged sink is typically caused by a buildup of debris entering the sink; depending on if its a kitchen or bathroom sink, the primary buildup may be caused by food particles, hair, soap scum, grease, or other foreign objects that are not meant to go down the drain.

While it may be tempting to use drain cleaner or a chemical declogger, these can cause more harm than good in terms of pipe damage. It’s always better to get the issue diagnosed by a professional sink repair service to avoid any further problems.

Gurgling Sink

Aside from being mildly annoying, a gurgling sink can be a sign that there is a problem with the drainpipe or air flow from the sink. It could also be the symptoms of a clogged sink.

Additional Signs: When to Replace the Faucet

Faucet won't completely turn off.
Continual clogging issues that appear after being fixed.
Faucet drips. A faucet that leaks at a rate of 10 drips per minute can waste up to approximately 3 liters of water per day. Ultimately, this will affect your next utility bill.
Low water pressure or inconsistent stream of water, possibly due to internal damage within the faucet.
Recurring leaks.
The age of the faucet since most last between 15-20 years. Makes sense to consider replacing one that is at the end of its lifespan.
Faucet requires constant repairs. When the repairs happen more frequently, save the time and money and get a new one.
Signs of mold. This can be very dangerous for your health, so if you see mold building up, it's best to replace the sink.
Faucet wastes too much water. Unlike older faucets that can use up to 3 gallons per minute, newer faucets tend to have a slower flow rate because of an aerator, the tip of the nozzle on the faucet.

While some of these signs may be solved with a sink or faucet repair, you won’t know until professional plumbers come in and give you the diagnosis.
